About us

MedCenter Air is a regional, national, and international air ambulance company utilizing a fleet of Fixed Wing jets, helicopters, and ground ambulances to transport patients safely across domestic and international destinations. Additionally, MedCenter Air offers support EMS responders throughout the Charlotte region. We meet strict accreditation standards set by the Commission on Accreditation of Medical Transport Systems. AirShare operates the Fixed Wing aircraft. MedCenter Air supports patients and medical providers by providing professional medical transport for specific areas of routine, urgent, and emergent need such as Air Ambulance, Neonatology, High-Risk Obstetrics, ECMO, and Organ Procurement. The Rotor Wing aircraft are operated by Air Methods Corporation. Our custom-equipped vehicles serve as mobile critical care units for medical facilities, EMS providers, insurance companies, managed-care organizations and the public. Our custom American Eurocopter EC135 P2+ helicopters operate within a 150 mile radius of each base and are equipped to make on-the-scene and inter facility responses. MedCenter Air offers cost-effective commercial airline flights nationwide and internationally. This service provides a designated coordinator for all aspects of logistical planning, matching patient needs with qualified medical personnel. This service is optimal for patients who may not require air ambulance but need assistance to a destination.

As we approach the end of Women in Aviation Week, we want to honor the amazing female clinicians who are the heartbeat of MedCenter Air. These phenomenal women provide elite care with compassion, dedication, and unparalleled expertise. They are not just part of MCA but the backbone of everything we do. Every successful flight, every mission accomplished, and every life touched is a testament to their hard work and commitment. They embody the spirit of resilience and innovation, driving us forward and ensuring that the sky is not the limit but just the beginning. So to our amazing female clinicians: Your hands heal, your hearts care, and your dedication make this journey together not just possible but extraordinary. Without you, there is no organization to lead, no skies to conquer. You are the most vital and integral part of our team, and we are endlessly grateful for every one of your contributions. We want to celebrate every one of you during Women in Aviation Week and every day. We couldn't do it without you!
